Due to increased global growth, our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Air Freights Coordinator to join their Air Freight team. This role involves coordinating air freight activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all air import/export jobs are completed correctly and in a timely manner.

  • Complete all customs declaration tasks accurately and promptly.

  • Report any amendments to customs declarations to the line manager immediately.

  • Maintain regular communications with the network and sales team.

  • Identify and propose new efficiencies in customer workflow.

  • Liaise with HMRC and maintain customs procedures.

  • Complete all reports by the provided deadlines.

  • Adhere to all SOPs thoroughly.

  • Ensure that all goods under the company’s deferment account are approved for delivery with accounts or line manager, or an agreement must be in place on SOP or quotes.

  • Pass invoices from suppliers and providers within 48 hours of receipt.

  • Ensure insurance is charged correctly.

  • Report insurance claims to the claims department immediately.

  • Propose and report strategies related to air products to the line manager.

Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • Proven experience in the freight forwarding sector.

  • Knowledge and experience of import/export multimodal business.

  • Expertise in air freight sales and products.

  • Quality communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft packages, especially Excel, and general PC knowledge.

  • Good understanding of logistics processes and procedures.

  • Ability to prioritize and organize own workload with attention to detail.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexibility with working hours.
