Key Responsibilities

As Finance Manager, you will:

  • Support the Finance Director in managing the finance department effectively.

  • Oversee the accounts payable process and ensure smooth weekly payment runs, both in GBP and foreign currencies.

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and submit quarterly VAT returns accurately and on time.

  • Assist the Finance Director in:

    • Budgeting and forecasting, including Cashflow and P&L analysis.

    • Property and overhead cost analysis, identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

    • Coordinating year-end audits and liaising with external auditors and tax advisors.

    • Managing the renewal of maintenance and energy contracts.

  • Provide support and cover to the payroll department when required.


Further details:

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • AAT qualification (or similar) with at least 3 years’ experience in management accounting.

  • Preferably, experience in payroll operations.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A proven ability to implement cost controls and ensure compliance.

  • Logical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
