Accounts Assistant

Part Time 

Mon - Fri 9am - 3pm (or 8.30am - 2.30pm) 

Based in Rayleigh, Essex

*Please note candidates MUST have Purchase Ledger experience to be considered*


Duties:

  •  Checking invoices posted through our purchase invoice automated system.

  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and seeking approval as necessary.

  • Posting Employee Expenses.

  • Reconciling Supplier Statements.

  • Chasing up Supplier queries.

  • Assisting the Accounts Supervisor with preparing weekly GBP and foreign currency payment runs.

Other Ad-hoc duties

  • Assisting the Management Accountant and Financial Controller with year-end audit file preparation.

  • The role will not be limited to these duties and will also carry out other duties within the Accounts department.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within an Accounts department in a similar role.

  • Knowledge of Accounts packages

  • Computer skills – essential packages: Word and Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail is essential to this role.

  • Ability to prioritise and multitask

  • Well organised with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills and a team player with a professional and confident personality.
